2024 Annual Diocesan Appeal

Sharing His Love with Others

Over the past couple of weekends, you have been hearing about the 2024 Annual Diocesan Appeal.

With a goal of $4,169,230, the 2024 Appeal will provide critical funding to many diverse and impactful ministries that affect the lives of thousands of people in our Diocese.

In early February, many of you will receive a letter from Bishop Knestout asking for your support of the 2024 Appeal. It is our sincere hope that you will answer our Bishop’s request and make a generous commitment to this effort.

Please see the bulletin or click here for more information.

Contributing to Ministries and Events

Please consider contributing to the parish with our online system.   New for those of you who enjoy the Latin Mass, you may now make contributions to support the Latin Mass online.  Your support is essential during this time when usual means of parish funding is limited.  Please click on the “Donate” button in the top right corner to begin the process.  Thank you for your generosity.

Accessing the Church

The church is generally locked outside of scheduled confession and Mass times. If you would like access to the church, please contact the office to request a door code.

Prayer to St. Joseph

PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH

The Ancient Prayer to St. Joseph recited at the end of Mass, with the intention: for the persecuted Church ad intra and ad extra, and for the relief of all Christians suffering all forms of persecution:

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires. O St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him close in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for me. Amen.

Reporting Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Crisis Contacts

The Diocese of Richmond encourages individuals to report abuse directly to law enforcement authorities by calling the Attorney General’s Clergy Abuse Hotline at (833) 454-9064. In addition, we place no deadlines or time limits on those who contact the diocese to report the sexual abuse of minors by priests, deacons, and or other personnel.

After first contacting the civil authorities, in a commitment to support and facilitate healing, individuals who have been sexually abused by a cleric, religious, employee, or volunteer of the Diocese of Richmond are then encouraged to contact the confidential Victim’s Assistance Reporting 24 Hour Number 1-877-887-9603 or Director of Safe Environment 804-622-5203 or by email at vac@richmonddiocese.org.
